Aeran Jung

중국 루신 미술 대학교에서 네오 클래식과 리얼리즘을 전공한 정애란 작가는 유학 시절 도서관에서 우연히 접한 안토니 곰리의 조각 작품을 보고 큰 영감을 받아 인간관계에서 보이는 다양한 상호 작용에 대해 파고들기 시작했다.
초기 작품들은 개인의 내면 이야기에서 시작되었고, 현재는 자신과 사회 공동체 그리고 지구와 지구 밖의 관계까지 확장된 이야기를 일반적인 평면 회화에서부터 3D 모션 그래픽, AR, 키네틱 아트 등의 과학 기술을 활용하여 작업 세계를 확장 시키고 있다.

Aeran Jung majored in Neo Classics at Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in China from 2008 to 2012. Jung has always enjoyed drawing people, and majored in realism, but was deeply influenced by Antony Gormley’s sculptures she encountered in the library while studying abroad, experiencing how the various interactions in human relations could change a person's life. Since then, she has begun to dig extensively into stories of relationships. Her early works began with her own personal stories. Now, mid-career, the story extends from her self, expanding into the social community, and the relationship between the Earth and its exterior. She is currently broadening the range of her work through the implementation of science and technology (2D, 3D motion graphics, AR, kinetic art, media art, deep learning...).
